CARD "THE LORD IS MY SALVATION"

You can read the story about God's people - Israelites leaving Egypt in 5-14 chapters of Exodus.

When Israel people with all their goods and flocks left Egypt, Pharaoh regretted that he had let them go.

He sent his army to get them back. Not long after the army reached them. It seemed they were in trap - behind them were Paraohs' soldiers and in from of them waters of the Red Sea. When Israelites saw Egyptian horses and fight chariots they panicked.
But Moses told them, "Don't be afraid! The Lord Himself will fight for us!"

At that time a pillar of cloud, which had gone in front of them before, stood behind them - between them and Egyptians.
Then another miracle happened. God ordered Moses to stretch out the rod toward the Sea. Right away the wind blew and waters of the Red Sea were devided. Israel people crossed the sea over the land.

When Egyptians pursued them Moses stretched out his rod again and waters went back to its place. Israelites were convicted again that God is their help.

God accomplished his promise - He released Israel people from slavery. And in the future, during their travel in the wilderness, God performed many miracles showing His love and care for His people.
